I grew up a ballerina and loved wearing makeup for stage perfomances, however outside of those recitals I embraced my nautrally fair freckled skin. As I grew up makeup became fun, although I was slightly intimidated. My very first memory of a beauty counter interaction, I was about 8 years old. I was with my mom in a department store and we were standing at the counter. The beautiful woman who stood behind the counter was exquiste, with her perfectly coiffed hair and makeup. Her red lip was gorgeous and I was in awe. She and my mom chatted while I stood oogling the beauty products in the showcase. We left with a little gift that included a mini eyeshadow and lip stick and I begged my mom to use it. That was my first realy glimpse into the world of beauty. Only when I was in college did I really embrace my love for beauty specifically makeup. After completing my university degree in Psychology I wanted to explore an area that would allow me express myself creatively. Day one in my Cosmetics Management program at Seneca College had me in love with all things beauty. Successfully graduating at the top of my class I immediately began working in retail as a Beauty consultant. Working in retail helped me find my passion for helping others feel confidently beautiful, by supporting them with their skincare needs or teaching them how to use specific beauty products. Within my first year of working in the retail beauty industry I was nominated and won a COSA "Cosmetics Oustanding Service Award" - it was such an honour to be a recipient of this award, standing on stage with the top industry professionals of the Canadian Beauty Industry. From that point forward I knew this was my place. I knew I found my home and where I belonged. It is my purpose to help others feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.
